Mission/focus | Park House School is a small specialist provision which caters for pupils with emotional and behavioural difficulties who need a smaller, more structured educational placement in order to develop their true potential. The school, in liaison with Keys Group will provide day placements for students aged 7 – 17 years old.
Many of the children who come to Park House School have been diagnosed with conditions such as ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia/Dyspraxia and Moderate Learning Difficulties. Park House School fundamentally operates within two main principles:
|
Facilities | Park House is set in a pleasant location which enables a quiet and nurturing environment to be created. The school is housed in a detached property over two levels and has several large classrooms including purpose built areas for I.C.T., Art, Woodwork and Food Technology.
We currently offer the opportunity for all students who are working at that level to achieve nationally recognised accreditation in English, Maths, Science, Computing, Citizenship, MFL, Music, Humanities, PE, RE, PHSE, Art/Design Technology, Food Technology, ASDAN and Functional Skills. This runs alongside our own internal accreditation for academic progress and achievement. The school was registered with the DfE in 2015 and was inspected by Ofsted April 2016. |
Special annual events | The school celebrates student achievements weekly with rewards and incentives. Each year the students are take part in Christmas and summer open days.
The school holds regular parent/carer meetings to discuss individual progress for each student. |
