Connected Support
Chloe's Story - Taking Positive Steps Towards Independence
Chloe’s journey into volunteering is a great example of how the right support and encouragement can help someone take positive steps forward.

Increased confidence
Learning new skills
More independence
The challenge
With her sights set on the future, Chloe dreamed of her own home, a paid job, and more independence and choice in her life. Knowing her love of clothes and fashion, the team at Cae Deri helped her find a volunteering job at a local charity shop, and it’s been the perfect fit.
What we did
The team supported Chloe to find a volunteering role and now she volunteers twice a week, helping tidy the shop floor, organise clothes, and tag items for sale. She’s thrown herself into it with real enthusiasm, often wishing she could stay longer when it’s time to go. The routine has done wonders for her wellbeing, confidence, and sense of purpose.
The outcome
While Chloe has had great support, the credit really belongs to her as her determination and courage have driven this progress. Everyone at Cae Deri couldn’t be prouder and can’t wait to see what she achieves next.
Chloe’s story is a lovely reminder of what’s possible with the right support: confidence, independence, and a brighter future.
