Keys Alternative Learning
Keys Alternative Learning is a flexible, curriculum-led programme that re-engages secondary-aged learners and prepares them for independence, education or employment. It suits learners with emotionally based school non-attendance (EBSNA), those on education other than at school (EOTAS) arrangements, learners in residential care, and those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) or social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs who are ready for more predictable routines.
Programmes typically run 12 to 14 weeks, with 2 to 18 hours of learning per week set through an individualised education plan. Keys Alternative Learning is a registered exam centre and can deliver exams in a learner's home, which helps anxious students sit them.
