About

Activity & Intervention in North Wales

Our Activity and Intervention service in North Wales offers specialist, time-limited placements for children and young people in acute risk, in rural homes across Anglesey, Gwynedd and Wrexham with the space to step away from harm.

Rural, sole-occupancy homes in the Welsh countryside give distance from harmful networks, with Welsh and English-speaking teams and care regulated by Care Inspectorate Wales.

For children’s safety we describe the areas we support rather than naming individual homes or addresses. We also accept referrals from beyond North Wales.

Programmes

Our Programmes

We offer a range of specialist programmes to help children feel safe, happy, and loved. Within these programmes, we help children heal, learn, identify potential risk-taking behaviour, and mitigate it.

Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE) Programme

A structured programme for young people affected by CCE, combining specialist advisor input, safety planning and reflective work to reduce risk and break the cycle of exploitation.

Activity & Intervention Programme

Activity-led, trauma-informed intervention in a high-support home, using adventurous activities to help young people regulate, build confidence and step away from harmful patterns.

Step Toward Programme

A planned step-down with 1:1 staffing and community access, testing safety and independence with resilience-building and continued education toward a positive next placement.
