Crown House

Crown House is a residential family assessment centre in Great Malvern, Worcestershire, supporting up to seven families and their babies at a time. As Keys' longest-established centre, it assesses parenting capacity, including for parents with learning disabilities, using the validated Parent Assess model over a 14-week period.

Assessments are delivered by a team trained in the trauma-informed Keys Connect model, and the centre is rated Good by Ofsted.

About the centre

Crown House is Keys' longest-established residential family assessment centre, supporting up to seven families and their babies at a time. It has a long-held reputation for providing excellent support for families.

More recently, Crown House has deepened its specialism in working with parents who have learning disabilities, using the validated Parent Assess model over a 14-week assessment. Each family has their own bedroom with either an en-suite or private bathroom, alongside homely shared spaces including a kitchen, lounges, a playroom and nursery, a dining room and a laundry room.

Our support process

Support is delivered by a skilled team trained in the trauma-informed Keys Connect model, keeping our approach sensitive to each family's experiences and needs. Our process includes:

  1. Initial assessment — understanding the unique needs and challenges of each family.
  2. Tailored support plans — creating personalised plans to address specific issues and promote positive outcomes.
  3. Ongoing monitoring — regular check-ins to adjust support as needed.
  4. Feedback and evaluation — making sure families are satisfied with the support and making improvements where needed.
